Expertise
I am recognized and respected for my advocacy skills, not only in the courts and tribunals of Ontario, but in industry and the local community. My background as a Lawyer, Business Executive, and Municipal Councillor, allows me to take a multifaceted approach to the practice of Law.
From 2004 to 2006, I was legal counsel at the Ipperwash Judical Inquiry into the death of Dudley George.
The Government of Canada recognized Doug’s legal skills in the Federal Courts and Tribunals by granting him the lifetime designation as Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.). In 2012, I was one of a few Canadians presented with the Queen Elizabeth 2nd Diamond Jubilee medal by Governor General David Johnston.
